DIGME'S GOING OFF!

Monday, 11th October, 6 days to go and the bodies just seem to get harder. Mate, I went for a walk after writing this mornings update, all psyched up and no where to go!

I have it good, I’ve been here 30 hours, been lei’d twice and my wife doesn’t arrive until Thursday, WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

To tell you the truth, Anthony travel lei’d me upon arrival and then Don Ryder and fellow commentator and all around nice guy lei’d me secondly. We just so happen to be surrounded by nice people, triathlon has that affection and infliction.

So, the pier this morning. As I sat on the wall and took several pics, most on www.ironmanlive.com and on my photo page, or accompanying the story, athletes both in the race and supporting. There were ripped units to not so ripped units, but all seemed to have the same thing on their minds, having a pleasant swim in the Pacific. The water temp is 80 Fahrenheit and 27 Celsius. Perfect for the skinny Ironman athletes and perfect for Digme Beach.  After sitting and people watching for over an hour, it was off to work. We recorded our first interviews today the first being Ryan Sutter. Ryan was featured on last years Bachelorette on ABC. Ryan was the final guy receiving a red rose from his soon to be wife. The dream wedding took place in Palm Springs California and was televised on ABC.

Since the show, the happy couple has settled in Vail Colorado and Ryan continues to fire fight, but his new found passion is Ironman triathlon.

Ryan starts his quest Saturday morning as the cannon sounds at 7am. You can check Ryan’s interview at www.ironmanlive.com under the video tab of Ironman’s exclusive coverage.

The weather here has been great. Lori Bowden road her bike up to Hawi today and said that the wind was around 5mph, WOW, that’s nothing.

The weather in town was humid, like always but the clouds seem to be lowering down the mountains.

The expo opened for a bit today but the official opening is tomorrow night after the parade. The parade starts at 5pm and finishes at the expo at 5.30pm.

It’s all happening here, don’t want to give you too much, want to string you out a little. I’m tired, Nighty night.
